Index to unassisted immigrants arriving in Australia 1842-1855
This index, produced by State Records NSW, covers passengers who came
to Australia without government assistance, as well as crew. This is an
index to the following resources: Reports of vessels arrived (or Shipping
reports) 1826-1855, Shipping Masters' Office (Passengers Arriving), 1854-55
and Passengers arriving at Sydney, 1846. The names in these lists have
been cross checked with names appearing in newspaper shipping lists (eg
Sydney Morning Herald). Includes passengers arriving into Sydney from other
States and ports other than UK.
